Helping parents connect to their child through the language of childhood.
Does any of the following sound familiar?
Feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from dealing with your child’s behaviour?
Working so much and so hard that it’s hard to have energy for your child at the end of the day.
Worrying that you are missing out on precious time with your children but not sure how to embrace the moment.
Struggling with the desire to have it all together and do “all the things” believing this will give your child the childhood they need to be successful and happy.
Worrying that every other parent has it more together than you, and wonder if you are doing any of it right.

Picture this instead…
Having confidence that you are enough as a parent and being able to learn to focus on your unique strengths. Understanding that who you are and your life experiences can benefit your child. Feeling like you are doing more than just surviving your little one’s childhood. Knowing there is no manual to parenting, but feeling confident you are following the right path for your child. Having fun, laughing, playing together with your children.

This is what Play Therapy is all about.
Play therapy believes that all of us, including children, have all that we need inside of us to grow and solve problems. Play therapy uses the language of childhood to explore and promote growth and healing. This is in contrast to an adult’s primary form of communication- talking. Play therapy is a respectful and effective way to support children through challenging happenings in their lives. Even though play is the language of childhood, it is not only for children. Play therapy or some play based activities may be also very effective for teens and adults.
It is a process that can involve the entire family, and have a restorative, and transformational impact on the family as a whole.
